Offering the RARE complete and very cool 20-page 6" x 9" original banjo catalog for Arthur E. Smith quality banjo company of Massachusetts. Includes separate pricelist dated April 1, 1978. Info on the company, descriptions of NECKS, RIM AND TONE SYSTEMS and FINISH as well as descriptions and illustrations of the various models available at the time...Northhampton, Maple Leaf, Shelburne I, Shelburne II, Shelburne IV, Shelburne Professional, Vega Copy necks, fingerboard designs, peghead designs, care of the banjo, ordering info, limited warranty and testimonials by various players. Condition is overall good with some waviness and minor stains. Also included is a letter dated September 25, 1978 on Arthur E. Smith letterhead which accompanied this "long awaited third edition of the Arthur E. Smith catalog.."...letter explains backorder of a month or so...signed by Kate Spencer and Mark Surgies.
