1950s KAY "GOLD" RESONATOR BANJO POT

Here's a pretty sweet original 60s KAY banjo pot with deep vox-style resonator that is ready for the banjo neck of your choice. Lovely original GOLD finish over mahogany with white binding....inspired by the Gibson Les Paul Goldtops of the day. Very well constructed pot with one piece die cast flange in great solid shape, notched heavy tension hoop, original hooks & nuts and original single coordinator rod and neck lag. These old Kays have the neat angle adjustment setup that enables easy string action adjustments and all the original parts for this are included. This thing really cranks out the sound! There are some really minor scratches , nicks and dents picked up over the past 40 some years but this is overall quite righteous and should prove quite useful to some banjo tinkerer. 11" diameter pot. Really...it just needs a neck , tailpiece, bridge and strings ....still has the original solid rosewood armrest too!!
Always wonder what one of these could sound like using the original metal parts with a good 3 ply wood rim... Paypal payment price is $135.00 (mailed FREE in the US!!)
