Offering for your consideration this RARE Spare plastic button nickel plated kluson shown in the photos. This is an original nickel plated TREBLE SIDE , open gear kluson with round
white plastic button which is original to many vintage Gibson and Martin guitars from that period.... (TREBLE side = for the 3rd, 2nd & 1st string side of the peghead). The tuner is completely
ORIGINAL....and it is shows appropriate wear. As uusual the plating is somewhat tarnished which is reflected in the price. (might look just right on that cherished vintage guitar...)
It's marked on the backside with "PAT" and with "2356766" as well as "2132792". Not marked kluson anywhere on the tuner at this period of production but clearly a Kluson vintage tuner.
Tuner is operative...i.e. turn the button and the post moves like it should. Turns fine. This is the early variety where the post/gear can be removed from the tuner housing. Listing is for the
ONE tuner only as shown. No mounting screws and no string post ferrule....just the tuner shown. Tough item to find when you need one...... no other parts included....just what is shown in the photos. Feels SO good to get that vintage guitar right!! .
