1960s Banjo Resonator


Offering for your kind consideration the original US-made mahogany DEEP banjo resonator. Outside diameter is 13 1/2", Outside depth is 2 1/2", Inside diameter is 12 3/4", Diameter across inside "lips" is 13". Includes two mounting screws and knurled thumbscrews. Typical signs of use...nicks & bruises from decades of use but overall quite useful.

I tried this on a prewar Vega Style N (10 15/16" diameter) with individual flanges and the fit was pretty good despite the added depth. Resonator is completely bound and finished...could be redesigned for center mount on a dowel stick banjo or mounted with the attached hardware. Nice project if you want to cut the sidewall depth and rebind,etc...possibilities are numerous... it's a lot of banjo resonator and not a lot of money to invest..
