Offering for your consideration this VEGA "REGENT" wood banjo rim & dowel stick shown in the photos. Includes ONLY the modified 10 15/16"" diameter wood rim and dowel stick. Matching serial numbers. No hardware included. Wood rim has had several areas filled with what appears to be wood putty. Some of the putty has fallen out. Not sure if these gouges in the wood were intentionally made or not....might have been part of some misguided tone experiment gone wrong. In any case I am sure the wood rim has been refinished since it must have been blonde like the dowel stick as most all Regent models were. Wood rim is slightly cut where neck joins...not sure why. Dowel stick has all original Vega markings and remains pretty much intact with just one repair from an endbolt split (piece of wood added). Also has a plugged hole in the center...maybe from a resonator attachment device. Original 28 holes for the hardware (no hardware included). Good project for the not-so-easily-daunted as I'm guessing the rim is not beyond hope. At the very least it has a good dowel stick and original tortoise color rim binding... $40.
